of course everyone says that the artists interpretation is the right one because he/she created the piece. however, an interpretation is basically an opinion and opinions are just like assholes; everyone has one. so therefore even thought he person create the artwork had an idea for what it was supposed to represent, it could be different for anyone who has experienced something different in their life. example, urinal on a pedestal could be just that for one who doesn't really know much about art, a funny spoof. but to someone else it is a revolution of what art is morphing into.
