a bludgeoning pathos
is beating at the stalemate
of her lightless eyes

but the nervous flutterings of (almost)
is where I've trapped my heart,
the meticulous ecstasy of longing
clawing at the depths
of her corpse
.

I love this.

I may be alone, but I think the more sense a poem makes, the worse it is.

I can garner almost nothing out of this. :D

 I agree with you there.
I can get some meaning from this, but that might just be because I wrote it. I've written much less coherent things.
And thank you. <3

So have I.

I don't remember its name, but I wrote a poem that probably makes no sense to me anymore. It's all twisted and inverted and stuff. It's Burton meets... my attempt at Seuss? XD

My newest one is kind of copying your style though. Although I know exactly what I'm talking about, which may or may not be good...

 I believe that I've read in at least three different places that you can either live or make art. Some people don't have the need to make poetry because their very lives are poetry. I make emotional poetry about emotions that I cannot feel.

Powerful and beautiful, light in the shadows, moving almost imperceptibly, but moving, nonetheless.

Thank you, it's a line from an interview I gave a few years back. I was really attacked for saying it, but the context was that I said that "God envies the poets, as we can ofttimes walk away from the emotional carnage we have created with our words and works."

I find your work intriguing. Looking forward to seeing more. I am starting to believe you may be 185 years old. Probably an evil sorceress or a vampyr.

I don't see why you'd be attacked... it was rather clear that you weren't talking about any specific religion's god. And even if you were... so?

 Thank you. I think I'm still human, just a dead one. I drowned in 1841.

Trust me, the Catholics already view me with vague and occasionally unveiled suspicion, I juxtapose the sacred and the carnal too often and too well. The "Sacraments" cycle I am working on merges the concept of the sacraments with sexuality, defining seven sacraments of lovers. It will be controversial.

And you are the most talented dead person I ever met. No wonder you have such a cold handshake.

My grandmother is a Catholic, my mother is not, and I most definately am not.
God doesn't manage to sneak into my poems, unless this counts: [link]

Thank you.
