No not mediocre. Sure, not your best, but only because your best is so damn potent! I found myself reading this one repeatedly, trying to figure out why it held my attention. Still not sure, honestly. There's a blunt honesty reminiscent of Dorothy Parker, though without the rhyme and meter. The style is accessible and inviting, though the subject is painful. I probably shouldn't watch what I watch, because it feels to me like Billy Collins writing for South Park.
